he 2nd and 3rd one are totally, totally great! actually that last one is beautiful too. love the way you framed them; you have a good eye!! the 4th one kinda goes against my grain… mostly because i’m not too fond of shooting from an angle so far above the subject. i don’t know Karen well at all, but she almost looks a little uncomfortable. But i’m just stating my opinion, ok.
oh one tip; i heard that when shooting portraits you should shoot from the dark side of the face. believe me i have often failed there so i’m not saying it from experience or anything. but i have seen other ppl’s results and its striking.
Heidi! You do beautiful work. The lighting effects are so cool. I’m very happy with ‘em! And btw…several posts back, were Josh and Misty cold or something? LOL!
Thanks!
Sandra: I can sorta see what you mean about her looking uncomfortable in the 4th one. She was sitting in a chair and I was standing while I was shooting her. The tip about shooting from the dark side…I always try to do that and I totally agree it looks better, but the reflections in her glasses were extremely hard to work with and to shoot from the other angle was the only way to avoid the glare. =( Maybe we should take out the lenses next time =)
Trina: Yes, they were taken at metro. Good memories in that place!
oh i get it! yes and bless the glasses! i have struggles with that as well….ugh. but anyway, i still think you did a wonderful job and i’m sure Karen was pleased!!
